An exciting event coming to the South Winnipeg area!
Postponed until further notice.
The Mosaic Studio Tour held by the South Winnipeg Art Group is an invitation for the public to visit professional artists in their home studios. The purpose is to educate and enrich the community by engaging the public in discovering the cultural mosaic of artists & artisans in South Winnipeg.
This first annual, free, self-guided tour will attract hundreds of visitors through the colourful 11 X 17 inch
brochure and tour map, which lists the participating artists on one side and has a tour map with supporting
advertisers on the reverse. The month of May is also Manitoba’s 150 th Anniversary!
South Winnipeg includes the following neighborhoods: Waverley West, Waverley Heights, Fort Garry, Lindenwoods, Whyte Ridge, Fort Richmond, Richmond West and St. Vital. Similar art tours in other regions, including Manitoba, have grown to successful endeavours and we are excited to bring this event to South Winnipeg.
Come and meet our diverse group of artists at work in their studios, learn about their passion for art, and discuss their techniques and materials. Observe the creative process. Did you know that some of the artists are open to taking on a commission? If you can’t seem to find exactly what you are looking for, don’t be afraid to ask.
There’s something for everyone – paintings in every medium from watercolor, oil, encaustic, acrylic, mixed media, pottery, pebble art, fabric sculpture, photography and jewelry.
Find that perfect piece of art to take home and enjoy!
Map your route. Browse our brochure (postponed until further notice) or this website before heading out. Whether you’re interested in wearable art or a one of a kind piece for your home, this Tour’s the one for you.
Not in the market for art? That’s OK. Everyone’s welcome to visit the studios and enjoy the art.
