Meet the Artists

The 2020 MOSAIC Art Studio Tour Participants

Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3, 2020

Visit artists in their studios/homes to see where they work, what they are working on, and who they are. Works will be for sale.

We open our studios and homes to those interested in exploring the artistic excellence and diversity of the South Winnipeg area.

Our logo is a Mosaic design. Signs and flags with a mosaic logo will mark the various routes and sites.

Laurel Anderson-McCallum

Laurel paints in oil, watercolour, acrylic, and tint black and white photographs. Her interest is in capturing simple moments, in comfortable or unusual settings. She loves to paint...landscapes, life drama, still life, portraits and historical themes. Laurel participates in Brushworks and Artarama, displaying works in Winnipeg shops and cafés.

Nikki Braun
There's two things that Nikki knows for sure; she must create and spend time outside, connecting with nature and its beauty. Watercolour is her chosen medium, because there is a looseness, flow and uncontrolled nature, that challenges and captivates her creativity.

Tesia Brooks

Sandra Dalton

Sandra is a self-taught artist who works in a variety of media. Detailed ink/pen drawings of architecture, animals, birds, alcohol ink on tiles, acrylic paintings on canvas, birch bark, glass are all examples of some of Sandra’s works. A few years ago, Sandra suffered a back injury and art is her therapy/escape from chronic pain.

Denise Gray
Denise’s inspiration comes from her love of nature. It’s been a life long hobby of hers to collect stones, driftwood and other natural items. Her work includes items primarily from Lake Winnipeg beaches. Her work depicts endearing scenes of people, families and nature that come framed in shadow boxes or wood frames.

Georgina Gray

Georgina lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She finds her inspiration and colour palette in the 4 seasons of the prairie landscape and in her travels. She paints mostly in watercolour, acrylic. She has been painting since the 1990s and is currently a member of the Fort Garry Palette Club.
